Understanding how you were created and designed to function
Everything that you see physically first existed as a thought. A thought is merely a word expressed. God in His infinite wisdom thought of what he wanted before he spoke it, and what he spoke he then saw (Genesis 1). We are created in God’s image and in his likeness (Genesis 1:26), therefore we operate just as God does. We are born of God, born from above, the very offspring of God Himself. We are his sons and daughters thru acceptance of Christ. That is why we can come to him and call Him Father.
Jeremiah 1:5 before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee…
Every child takes on the traits of his or her parents. That is why our children look like us; they have a resemblance of their parents. They even pick up character traits that they posses. How many times have we heard grandparents say about there grandchild’s behavior mimicking their parents actions from when they were that age. This being true with our natural children how much more is it true with our spiritual Father which created, formed, and breathed his life into us. The natural (physical) realm is birthed from the spiritual realm. With this being so that means we were spirit beings before we took on our physical selves. God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth (John 4:24). Why would Jesus tell us that in order to worship the Father we would have to do it in spirit and in truth if we were incapable of worshiping in the spirit? We are spirit beings first and we have a soul that lives in a body.
Ephesians 1:3 blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
We were chosen in him before the world even began. Where? In him, we were a thought in God’s mind before we ever became a living soul. God is a God of order not chaos. God had a plan before we were, he had a plan when Adam sinned, when Christ died, when he met Paul on the road to Damascus, and he has plans for you and me.
Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Another way to describe a plan is to have a detailed thought whether imagined or written down. God has thoughts to bring you and I to an end that is not just what you expect but what He expects.
Psalms 40: 5 Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts which are toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered.
God has you on the forefront of His mind and He wants to pour out Himself upon you. You have been and are going to always be a dominant thought in God’s mind. You are an expression of God’s thoughts, that is why when you hear His word it draws you because you are united with your very destiny (purpose). Jesus was the word (expression of God’s thoughts) made flesh and we are to follow in the same pattern.
Remember, everything that you see physically first existed as a thought.
