“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is…” Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
“This real estate exam is tough!” “I’ll never get this job, I’m not qualified.” “Will I ever get married?” “That sort of stuff never happens for me.” These are just a few statements we have either said or heard someone say. It’s like we have talked ourselves out of a blessing without even giving it a fair chance. It’s just like our faith. If we believe God, in His Word and His Promises, we must have confidence in Him wholeheartedly.
We must put down the Little Engine That Could” mentality of “I think He can, I think He can.” If we come to Him, we must believe that He is ALL that He says He is. Our semi-belief says, “I’ll try you but not completely trust you.” This is much like taking chances in winning a sweepstakes or lottery. Without faith, it is impossible to please the Lord. Our thoughts of it can’t be done, incapable of being true, utterly impracticable should never surface. God is sadden when we fail to unconditionally have confidence in Him. If we believe He is a healer, we have to know it absolutely. Need a deliverance from a stronghold?
Accept as truth that He can rescue out of the issue. We should never talk ourselves out of something but always talk ourselves into God. Believing that He can and He will!
