Every now and then the Lord lays it on my heart to simply pray. Sometimes there is a subject matter and other times there isn’t. I just move as He sees fit. Today’s prayer is concerning clarity. Again, I never know who the prayer is for but I pray it ministers to you and your situation.
Dear gracious and kind heavenly father, I come before you now first, to give you thanks. Thank you for allowing me to rise this morning and starting me on my way. Although I’ve personally not done anything to deserve your unmerited grace, I certainly say thank you for it. Lord, I need for you to make it better. There is someone reading this message who is at a place of uncertainty. They are in such a quandary that don’t know what their next move should be. For some it’s whether to stay or go. Others it’s an answer, yes or no. But whatever their issue, give them clarity. With your omnipresence, knowing all things before they even exist, show them where you are, where you have moved to, where you are working. Allow them to join you at that very place. If the place is unfamiliar, allow them to understand that you are in the strange places too. You are our Emmanuel, our God with us. Give them a glimpse of the things you have in store. Lift the clouds of mystery just a little, enough to know that they are headed in the right direction of where they are supposed to go. For they know the things you’ve told them, the promises. But only YOU know the way to the good things that no eye has seen, nor ear heard, or that no man’s heart knows. So as they go through today and the days to come, conquer their fear, extinguish their doubt, and refreshingly quench them with confirmation. But Lord, only to the things that you have for them and not the things they want for themselves. Even me as your servant, I stand in with them. Allow them to understand that when they forget to pray about their issue, I am praying for them. Lastly Lord, we love you eternally. Although we may not say it as often as we should, we say it now. Our saying it serves as a declaration of an allegiance that for you we will live and for you only we seek to please in all we do. Thank you oh great father. Simply for being God and for loving us, even in spite of us.
It’s in your name that we do pray and ask it all. Amen
