As is. This is how God takes us. We too have been used, possibly damaged or tainted but He still says, "I’ll take it!" It’s never that we’re just that good. He knows and sees the goodness and potential within us. In that regard, all that we have endured in our past doesn’t matter to Him as it would with others. He has given us grace. It’s the grace abundance that He puts all over us. He shines us up and says, "I can do something great with this. I have just the right place for it in the kingdom." When others would pass on us or consider us as used goods, God considers us a great find! A true treasure.
"But if it is by grace (His unmerited favor and graciousness), it is no longer conditioned on works or anything men have done. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace [it would be meaningless]." Romans 11:6 (AMP)
